Say No To Software Patents
Thanks to: JESUS (CHRIST) *, Richard Stallman (AVI, RM, RM2-SP), and the respective creators of these packages and places.
Bag 'O' Tricks Directory lists tips/tricks and reminders and other stuff I would love to clog my header with.
* - Wikipedia is edited by anarchy, don't use for christian inspiration. Christian Bahai is a oxymoron BTW.
*! - I use Zonealarm Pro, which is what that flash demo is demonstrating, ZoneAlarm costs about fifty dollars a
year with updates, but is well worth it, it also comes with spyware weeding software, so there is no need for an application like "Ad-Aware",
"Spybot Search & Destroy" or "Spyware Doctor".

(02/25/08 4:43 PM): I wonder if someone could correlate the shunning of religion to the deconstruction of a capitalist society,
because for instance in the Christian religion there is the saying "give to a man what his works are worth", that's my guideline
for buying software and determining what I will pay for and what I won't buy. My feeling is I've paid Microsoft enough already, now
where is the works, or "where's the beef"? Especially if I can look at Ubuntu and see much of the same thing with more flexibility.
I'm inclined to support Ubuntu because I see it as payment for Canonicals and Linux Developers contributions, but I'm not inclined
to pay Microsoft anymore.. And Bill Gates is very secular, he probably sees himself as equal to ceasar in the modern world. In my
book he's just a guy with an opportunity to pull the wool over peoples eyes, and prosper from it. He's only now appealing to
people as human because he's no longer trying to compete, he's relaxing and kicking it back.. He's in the "win the trust of
people" stage.. It's like something out of an Ayn Rand playbook.. My point is that in a society where there is no perceived
absolute truth, there is a dwindling economy because people perceive money as something that is theirs. Money is blood, is my
philosophy.. If it doesn't move you risk the curse of death. Microsoft and ones like them, produce the perception of quality
products through the abuse of public perception, creating a false positive. Selling a OS like Vista gets money to move, but where
does it move, to Microsoft, and then to where, employees? Doubtful.. What industry is Microsoft investing in? It is software!
Software can be made competantly by hundreds of individuals if not tens. Note, the optimal developer group size is 3 to 7. Anything
larger is statistically prone to failure, unless the code is well structured and simple to maintain. Given that the investment in
software development and the revenue to be gleaned from the sale is so great, the software sales industry is full of fluff, a lot
of it unecessary. So why do I feel the need to bite the hand that feeds me? Because it's obvious that it can't feed me anymore. But
as a consumer, I see the value in the public service of maintaining open source software.. That could be the new hand that feeds me
as a software developer, and is the domain where Microsoft can't compete.. So you can see how things must progress..
(02/25/08 4:06 PM): Looks like I'm going to move bl3nder to godaddy vps account I have. Because the demand is probably running
phpwebhosting into the ground.
BTW, I had something to say but just lost it.. Oh I remember, I was thinking it is probably the case that the more object oriented
you make a program the more easily the compiled code can be backward engineered as object oriented code follows a constructed
pattern, whereas compiled c code and assembly would require speculation.. However at an assembly level if code is written at that
level, it is easy to decipher the processes as assembly code that is written as such is cleaner than compiled assembly code.
Therefore to sell compiled applications you must obfuscate your processes and make unstructured code. Now we know why Microsoft is
so successful. They make the perfect buggy and undecipherable code!!
