*! - I use Zonealarm Pro, which is what that flash demo is demonstrating, ZoneAlarm costs about fifty dollars a
year with updates, but is well worth it, it also comes with spyware weeding software, so there is no need for an application like "Ad-Aware",
"Spybot Search & Destroy" or "Spyware Doctor".

    [YouTube-ified Playlists]

(8/30/07 1:19 PM): Duh, why didn't this hit me earlier, Singularity is basically smalltalk.. C# is like Java, right, it is a pointerless language that runs on a virtual machine, therefore it has no real need of an MMU.. The problem is that it runs slower than something written in assembly, like C.. It is more secure because you can add opcodes to the memory operations to do things like invariant checks (lists of rules that basically state signs of when something illegal is going on).. So what Microsoft is in fact inventing is something a bit like Smalltalk and Java, and calling it "special".. Duh!! This is about as new as a manilla envelope.. We can have things run a bit slower, if you really want security.. But Sun can do that on a Java machine.. Symbolics could do that on a LISP Machine.. It's just them trying to sound advanced and unique.. THIS IS WHY I CAN'T TRUST MICROSOFT, IT'S ALWAYS THEM TRYING TO PULL THE WOOL OVER 90% OF THE POPULATIONS EYES. Thank God, for them, that there is so few programmers with degrees in the world to see through it.. Do this run two java applications in a 286, 68000 or a 8086 sandbox (a capability of any Intel chip).. This is what this SIP crap isi, the SIP's are little java applications, that use system calls to a java machine that task switches between the java apps, and can do so because there is no need to push the CPU register on a stack (which is the costly operation they are eluding to in the wikipedia page), all you need to do is jump execution to another java application in the same memory.. When you push a state onto a stack (something that happens when an interrupt comes in, which is how multi-tasking is performed, by constantly interrupting the CPU to make a task switch, the stack push is done to keep track of where the CPU was when it got interrupted). Anyhow, instead of doing this in a machine, it is done in a virtual machine that performs much of the same operations, with more overhead in another respect, but with invariant checks.. Next Microsoft will be making C# processors and fabricating the things in Mexico.. Then Intel will create a Java Virtual Machine chip, and Microsoft is foiled, and all the idiots that thought Microsoft was still on top of it.. Bill Gates is playing poker with us, this is just a bluff, I doubt this stuff will ever get released, because they know what will happen if they do..

(8/30/07 6:19 AM): I'd stay away from the APM Future Tech podcast.. They had a story on "Blowing up Windows", and got someone on who said Microsoft just needs to start over.. They totally dodged the idea of even using Linux.. They talked about Mac and talked about Microsoft, and a project that nobody has ever seen off much, that Microsoft is proportedly working on, I mean this is the first I've heard of it, but what I gather from Singularity is it is something like AmigaOS without the MMU and everything is managed by perfect code, that manages security by perfect little mathimetically correct invariants.. The same sort of crap we all got in College from the professors.. Hey guys, Linux is there it works, you have FreeBSD, the MacOSX was based on BSD for crying out lod.. And APM Future Tense, just completely side-steps it, and says "Linux is a passe topic that got overexposed in the 90s, we can't cover that, people have heard it before, so we will just dodge the issue, and go straight for something else.. Microsoft re-release Windows..".. Hey guys, if that happens, you can just about count on people moving to Mac or Ubuntu.. I'm using Ubuntu quite well, even with some Windows applications.. It doesn't take a leap of imagination to see people moving to Ubuntu, especially if people can wrap windows applications in a windows to linux wrapper called Wine. Once you see this, and know what it is doing, you can see all old verisons of windows and the current. gradually shifting over onto linux.. Because its easier for coders to transition that way than to transition to some one of Microsoft's new world domination brain farts.. I think people have had about enough of Microsoft's vanilla plans.. Time to give the other kids in the Operating System park a chance at swinging the bat..

Anyhow, I'm deleting Future Tense from my podcast feeds.. I've visited their site before, looking to email the writers or editor, and not finding a email address.. I think I did once, but I can't find it now..,Oh here it is... Just the fact that they wouldn't even mention it, makes their podcast null and void.. I wouldn't listen to these information neglectors.. Probably paid Microsoft Evangelists anyhow..

(8/30/07 3:53 AM): I've been working with a new paint program I got, Art Rage 2.5 .. It was only 25 dollars, but it's worth 200 dollars.. It's worth more than that to me, because its got me painting again.. It has a unique way of approaching painting in the computer, it tries to re-unite people with the natural media, without all the rigidness of digital media.. I strongly suggest purchasing it, the commercial version is a lot of fun to use..

    (8/30/07 3:50 AM):
    (FULLSCREEN)

As always I'm suprised what will come up on the chann3lz..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Same here..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Wow... This is different..
    (FULLSCREEN)

These guys aren't bad for a Led Zepplin cover band, but I like the fact that they don't stick to the template too much, they kind of leave it in the middle and go some place else with it.. The Singer can't do Robert Plant, it sounds like he either needs to hold his mic a different way or blow his nose.. I can't tell what is wrong.. He can't hit the notes Robert Plant can, but he makes up for it in spirit.. Give them another ten years, they will have Led Zepplin nailed and going some place else with it (unless this is an old video)..
    (FULLSCREEN)

I swear, I'm not adding any of these videos to chann3lz.. I maybe add 10 or 20 a month.. Maybe mroe than that, but I hardly ever see the ones I've added.. I may have added this one, but I don't recall when it was that I did..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Okay, I'm pretty sure I added this one, I was looking for ELO's Above the Clouds, and found this video from Cyndi Lauper..

(8/29/07 12:54 PM): Am sort of waiting for a job interview today at 3:30.. I'm nervous.. So I'm trying to kill time, I'm too nervous to code, so I guess what I'm going to do is update podcasts (a service I perform for my live-in father, he goes on walks and I update his podcasts)..

    (FULLSCREEN)

Cool japanese music video, I guess a romantic song, you don't see much of these..
    (FULLSCREEN)

I suppose god is picking this video at Random, so I guess it will be okay..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Don't know what to make of this, but it's better than most rap videos..
    (FULLSCREEN)

I don't smoke, my father used to smoke, but he stopped at 50.. I can vouch for stopping smoking.. I don't know if this is the way.. He stopped because he wanted to..
    (FULLSCREEN)

If you haven't noticed, I'm just taking these as they come through chann3lz, I tend to stop when something just absolutely needs to be trashed.. But the videos are completely random, I'd like to tell you what comes next, but I can't.. Actually, the next video is embedded in the code in the "Next" link, so I could, but that would be cheating, but there is not some queue of videos I can go to to see what is the next.. It picks a random video each time you play one, and no two people see the same video, so the sort of downside to this scheme is that you will be the only one today, this week, maybe month, that will see the video on chann3lz you are seeing now.. But if I think something is cool, I blog about it, that's how I get over the tension of knowing this mechanism.. I guess also as a form of feedback to let people know that which they contributed got put in, but if you think deeply about what I have done, you will realize why I can't show you the database of videos in the jukebox, if you knew which videos were there, it is fairly easy to trash them...
    (FULLSCREEN)

    TV Bloopers..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Somebodies animation project, looks like..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Nice.. I don't really don't listen to lyrics.. I have a physical problem that make interpreting sound hard, so its very easy for me to listen to music without getting to much into the lyrics.. I don't consider lyrics important, I'd be satisfied with Talking Heads, I tell people.. And it is true.. Music is better when it is good and something you can listen to, but its no good when the lyrics contain cuss words and such, but I can listen to music that may have some deep and political, even controversial topics, just as long as it is not too distracting..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Gnarley video.. This would be a cool train to take, notice it is bottomless..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Interesting glimpses into peoples lives..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    And now for some jazz..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Slade.. Okay I admit I think I was the one who added this video.. It's an old scottish band from the 80s.. I think this was their last work, because I think they were a 70s band.. Anyhow.. Great song.. Has that ELP aura, when they fall into the melody in the middle.. Not a bad bone in its body..
    (FULLSCREEN)

What a thing for a marching band to spell out.. SHUT UP!! And you ask what heaven is going to be like.. Maybe this is a glimpse.. BTW, they were about to play the theme to "Good Times" the mid-70s TV Show, so this is mid-70s.. You never see marching band like this these days.. Just amazing!!
    (FULLSCREEN)

This really has a early-70s feel to it, I mean the style.. Looks like Todd Rundgren and Patty Smith, and such.. Music is Songwriter generation, which is making a come back.. I think the songwriter generation (Jame Taylor and such) followed from the Folk singer generation..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Really this came after.. Nothing relaly trash worthy..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Nice song, I like the video too..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Okay I was the one who added this one.. I admit.. I like Patty Smyth, kind of a early 80s relic.. Pre-madonna I think, maybe not, it was in there with the Journey, Bangles, Heart, etc.. Kind of the 70s pop rock surviving 80s groups.. But Scandal had that valley girl, california thing going.. I didn't know til much later that The Bangles were really a east coast band.. The gogo's were west coast.. Anyhow..
    (FULLSCREEN)

More jazz.. Okay I've got to make a backup of the chann3lz database, these videos are core "best" stuff.. If anything should happen catastrophic, this is what I will revert to.. Great collection.. Check out that trombone, is it a trombone, is it a trumpet.. It's both!! Okay I'm stopping here, I have to prepare for an interview however I can, that is.. Prayer.. Review.. Lunch.. We'll see..

    (8/28/07 9:20 AM):
    (FULLSCREEN)

Never seen this video before.. Heard the song plenty of times though..

I got stupid and went and spammed some programmer of Dungeon Runners.. I was getting bored, I played the game way to long.. I was trying to build up a second account to play with Nathan on Friday.. I'm sure my 36 Level Fighter was really bothersome in out last get together.. So I started from the beginning.. Dungeon Runners is still just as much fun playing with less as it is playing with all the toys.. It's actually more fun playing it over.. Stuff is cheaper, you can re-spec for less... Well.. I guess I'm way tooo old for this stuff.. Nobody my age plays games like this..Just that Dungeon Runners appeals way too much to my greedy.frugal nature.. I like seeing how cool a configuration of weapons and armor I can get.. It's like tetris is to women, for guys.. Women tend to love puzzle games, its a proven fact.. Tetris is addictive.. But Dungeon Runners, for me is the equivalent to tetris..

(8/26/07 2:43 AM): I totally scuzzed up my Ubuntu install, fortunately I had backups of the user directory, but I had to completely reinstall everything over.. Frotunately for Ubuntu, a install takes about 15 minutes, the major portion of the time after is downloading packages, but it beats reinstalling Windows XP by far..

Anyhow, I've been sitting here watching chann3lz, in a Wine wrapped Firefox browser with Adobe Flash (macromedia is Adobes now).. Anyhow, it worked well.. I haven't gotten Miro/DemocracyTV back up.. That may take a while, but I'm playing DVD's, watching mpegs and such. And Chann3lz ofcourse, which is the icing on the cake..

    (FULLSCREEN)

Never have seen these guys before, I love it..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Who doesn't remember this video (I mean people my own age ofcourse, I've seen this video soooo many times I can recall each event without watching the video..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    This was before my time..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Yeah Yeah Yeahs... Yeah!! If Bruce Lee and Siouxie Sioux had a baby this is what it would look like..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Who adds these things to youtube??

(8/25/07 11:06 AM): I wonder how many British musicians it has "donned on" (realized) that a major portion of their big spending listeners are in the south west. Especially in New Mexico. I mean it may not be one of the richest states in the US, but there are so many celebrities here with homes.. In Taos, Santa Fe, very few in Albuquerque though.. However New Mexico has two major National Laboratories.. We've had just about everybody play the Casinos here, like Bill Cosbey and Ringo Starr.. I just wonder when guys like Thomas Dolby and Glen Tilbrook are going to realize this.. Maybe they can't get gigs here.. Thomas Dolby did play in Dallas, come to think of it.. There is a lot of millionaires/billionaires in Dallas, but they like country/western artists and hard rockers (like Ozzy and Van Halen, way more). In High School where I went in Ft. Worth, I'd say that maybe 25% were into "80s music" at the time, and about 50% were into Country, and another 25% into Rush, Metallica (yes even then), VoiVod, Iron Maiden, Anthrax (I knew because they would be the male half of the teens carving logos onto their notebooks (the girls would carve their boyfriends into theirs).. And the school I went to were mainly rich children.. In fact one of the people in our school was the brother of Michelle Royer (that year was a Miss America).. Of course we only had about 60 people in our school, so it hardly counts for a sample of the population, but still, I'd say Santa Fe, New Mexico has a portion of the "Rich Texans", because there is nicer homes there.. A home in Santa Fe normally goes for about a million or two.. Anyhow, have to go..

    (8/25/07 6:23 AM):
    (FULLSCREEN)

I'm so glad I live in America..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Part 4
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Part 1
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Part 2

(8/24/07 5:08 PM): Just added Celtic, among other channels, like Japanese and German, and such.. Some are going to be easier to fill than others.. For instance Celtic can be Irish, or Jig.. But if I fill it with Reel, I have to specify Irish in addition.. Yes I'm filling a lot of the channels with the results of searches on YouTube, using the "DON'T KNOW SUPRISE ME" option.. I'm looking into using Code Igniter for future project, but not sure if I will use it.. It looks quite radical to what I'm doing now.. The only thing I can't get used to is the use of fixed argument orientations, I prefer to mix my parameters up.. Anyhow..

    (FULLSCREEN)

Some stuff from the Celtic Channel..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    And some more stuff..
    (FULLSCREEN)

I guess this is Irish pop or something..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Irish Metal??? Okay I admit this doesn't sound like celtic music, but I guess it is.. The drum beat sounds fairly celtic, and somewhere in the song you can hear something that sounds kinda Irish.. I don't know..
    (FULLSCREEN)

Some Celtic Dancing.. I think someone put this music to it afterward because the tapping doesn't match the music..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    And some good old bag-piping..

Again nothing here was picked by my own selectiveness other than what came through via Chann3lz.. I mean I selected from maybe 20 videos, which showed up here on this blog.. And there was some that were just as good that I saw in between... I just wanted a complete spectrum of the Celtic channel.. Feel free to add some of your favorite videos to the channel.. And please don't vandalize it.. I can strip vandalism more easily than you think..

    (8/22/07 4:55 PM):
    (FULLSCREEN)

A pretty effective Rap, of course like most stuff on my blog, this I got from chann3lz..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    And this too..
    (FULLSCREEN)

The Reels with Prefab Heart, I first though this was prefabe sprout, different prefab..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Gag me with a spoon...
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Pet Shop Boys
    (FULLSCREEN)

    The Cardigans? suprising!!

    (8/22/07 6:46 AM):
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Cool Video
    (FULLSCREEN)

Looks like Bonnie Tyler, but this is not her.. I'm pretty sure..

    (8/22/07 1:35 AM):
    (FULLSCREEN)

It's toward the end of the queue that you see the cool stuff, I really need to fix it so that it is the first stuff you see..

    (8/19/07 2:13 PM):
    (FULLSCREEN)

Tahiti 80, one of my most favroite groups now, with an incredibly interesting video.. Changes..
    (FULLSCREEN)

    Watchout, Flying Fish!!

    (8/17/07 9:16 AM):
    (FULLSCREEN)
Fantastic Queen Video.. Best version of "Under Pressure" I've heard..

(8/16/07 10:18 AM): Sorry for the long delay.. I got caught up in a phenomenen called neglect.. I was playing way too much Dungeon Runners, in my spare time, which I have a lot of these days..

    (FULLSCREEN)
Stevie Ray Vaughn, and I guess this is his brother, playing "pipeline" on a two armed guitar. Stevie looks like he has four arms, I'm sure it was harder for his brother than for him..
    (FULLSCREEN)
Beth Orton.. I like the puppets.. Especially the one-eyed sunflowers..
    (FULLSCREEN)
I can hear Fiona Apple and Potishead doing backup on this..
    (FULLSCREEN)
This immediately followed the video directly left, I'm serrious, this was all chann3lz's doing, complete random chance..
    (FULLSCREEN)
And this immediately after the one to the top right of this one..
    (FULLSCREEN)
Okay, I'm trashing this.. Argh!! Oh well I'll leave it..
    (FULLSCREEN)
This one followed immediately after the one I decided not to trash, in the upper right corner of this one..
    (FULLSCREEN)
I skipped a video on Linkin Park, and hit Next, and got this..
    (FULLSCREEN)
This followed from that video on making Advocado Ice Cream in the upper right corner or this one..
    (FULLSCREEN)
And this one immediately after the one left of this.. BTW, this is the reason I don't own an animal, especially not a cat.. ARGHHHH!! This is just the same videos re-repeated over and over, Okay this is TRASH!!
    (FULLSCREEN)
As Pontius Pilot said, It's no fault of mine..

(8/7/07 9:42 AM): Have I told you how much I hate Comcast? So much, I am thinking about going down and TNTing their satelite dish.. They make it so you can't contact anyone local you have to get in your car and drive to the building. Because the local comcast telephone service goes to the main office, and all the main office does is try to diagnose your Internet service.. That's, to put it like an rude english chap, bloody !#$%@?! Rubish! Sorry, I was just listening to Chris Moyles in what little I have left in my podcasts.. I haven't had Internet service for a whole day, and I know it is a problem at their end because my modem is connecting to the hub, so there Internet service is down.. But theBloody central office in who knows where it is, Ohio? Canada? Te Arctic Circle? On the cold end of Pluto? They talk like, what is your modem lite doing.. It's online.. Can you boot up your machine.. Okay, click on the start button.. There is no Start button I'm on Ubuntu.. Oh, sorry, can you get on the Internet? Yes.. BTW, I'm looking at my Motorola Surfboard modem through its IP address 192.168.100.1, (BTW this is not a global address, it's local, these little components offer little local websites so you can configure them without special software on your computer, one of the cool things about embedded web server applications, embedded devices with web servers).. Anyhow, I point this out to the guy, and he goes oh.. I guess we need to get a service person out to you, Oh it looks like our software is getting updated (it's 1:30 AM BTW) I can arrange to do that in about one and a half hours if you are willing to wait.. Sorry, I'll check back in the morning.. I check back in the morning and their bloody line is busy.. It was like that all day yesterday! IF the teleco Internet services can do the job better it would with be with better PR, at least tell me the bloody heck what is wrong with the line and how long they expect a fix.. Comcast is just a bunch of wiseasses.. Anything to protect brand.. Well you all look like a bunch of idiots from this end..

    Flame Thrower Off..

(8/5/07 2:46 AM): Don't ask me why June is repeating, in my blog, I don't know it will take me a while to figure that out.. Well anyways, if you say have some FLV videos, for some strange unknown reason.. And you want to convert them to some other more common video format, say MPEG or AVI.. Use this jigger it will do batch conversions too, and it's FAST!! BTW it's based on FFMPEG, which is a really popular video conversion tool on Linux, so you might find something like it in some other form on another computer.. If you want to know where it came from, I had read that some guy made it in delphi.. I mean the front-end that automates the conversion process.. FFMPEG is at the heart of the conversion, but this tool makes it much easier.. Wow I didn't know FFMPEG did FLV conversions..

I think it was like last Friday, the queue reset, and it's thursday and it is already half-way through.. I guess it is still a two week cycle, but I guess it's doing well..
