The following video is a tutorial on how to install realvideo, this is meant for
inexperienced computer users who need help installing software on their machines,
I offer this tutorial as a first step toward accessing the other tutorials on this
site.
Question: "Obviously, if Windows Media V9 suffice, why should I install realvideo".
Windows Media is not cross platform. The only video formats that are cross platform
compatible are Quicktime, Realvideo and MPEG. Realvideo is the easier of these to
work with, even though you can't copy the realvideos to other formats.. The good point
about this, the video won't get re-encoded, which just degrades the video anyhow.
As for the linux zealots, if linux is so great why doesn't it have a generally
acceptable container format.
